The Beverly Center, a monolithic eight-story structure located at the edge of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood in Los Angeles, CA, now boosts a new glimmering white skin made of a highly textured stucco. Inside the mall, the challenge was to increase the space permeability to the natural light. With this goal in mind, transitioning to a 25,000 sq. ft. gently curving area with a high-performance skylight that triples the former roof sections opened to the sky was implemented. The Martin Bros. team worked in concert with the general contractor to make the transition to the skylight look seamless creating a connection to the outdoors all while on scaffolding. The Beverly Center remained open during the renovation.
